Welcome to Crosswind Kids, our Children's Ministry for kids from birth to 5th grade at Crosswind Church! We meet every Sunday morning during both services. Through Bible-based curriculum, kids learn about Jesus through stories, games, crafts, and activities in age-specific classrooms. We hope you will join us one Sunday!

The theme for our Children's Ministry uses an underwater look, called Atlantis.

The Reef: Nursery & Preschool

Crosswind provides a loving, caring, and nurturing environment for our littlest ones. Our focus for this age group is to share God’s love through nurturing, playing, and encouraging. It is our goal that when they leave this area of their journey, they have heard the word Jesus many times and that it becomes a natural part of their language development. Our nursery and preschool classes use Group's "Hands-On Bible Curriculum." We also strive to ensure they are safe and cared for.

In our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade program, we use High Voltage Kids curriculum. The first part of our time is spent hanging out together with games & activities, while including some fun story & sharing time. We then transition to our Bible story of the day, where we combine an object lesson with a large group activity to get the kids involved in the lesson. We love this time of connecting with your kids each Sunday!

Our entire Children's Ministry Center is located in the basement level of our Westminster building, right beneath the main sanctuary.  We feel that this is the best location to help ensure the safety of our kids, and it also gives them a place of their own.

To ensure the safety of children participating in our Children's Ministry programs, we use a check-in/check-out system. First-time guests are asked to register each child at the Children's Ministry sign-in desk, located at the bottom of the stairwell.  (Our Welcome Center hosts in the lobby will be happy to direct you!)

We have ID stickers, which serve multiple purposes. First, they allow us to monitor and control the traffic through our Children's area.  Only people with the designated ID stickers are allowed past the table and into any of the rooms. Second, they allow us to communicate with parents. Each child is randomly assigned a number each week, and that number is printed on the cards. If we need to reach you during service, we'll flash that number onto the main projector screens at the front of the auditorium. Finally, the registration and card systems allow us to easily keep track of how many children are in our Ministry Center each week, and which ministries they are involved in.
